As per the Framework for Safe Reopening of Schools approved by the Greeneville City Schools Board of Education on 7/14/2020, GCS remains committed to providing transparent information regarding the effect of Coronavirus on its school district. Beginning Tuesday, August 11, 2020 the system will begin providing updates on a weekly basis of the number of personnel COVID-19 cases within the school district. This information will be located on the system’s district website.
The joint Greene County and Greeneville City Board of Education meeting will be held at Greene Technology Center on April 22, 2021, at 6pm, and the regular Greeneville City Board of Education meeting will be at the Kathryn Leonard offices on April 26, 2021, at 6:30 pm. In-person audience members are allowed, although social distancing, mask wearing, and attendance limits will be enforced. Both meetings will be livestreamed. Information to access the livestream will be posted at www.gcschools.net .
Thursday, March 11 between 4 PM through 7 PM Niswonger Children’s Hospital will be offering a walk-in clinic for COVID 19 vaccinations for 16 and 17 year olds who meet 1c criteria. No appointment is required. Just enter the hospital through Niswonger Children Hospital’s main entrance. Proof of age may be required. Parents must attend the clinic with students to provide written consent since the students are under the age of 18.
